The Ideal Wife:

Advice to Wives: A wife's duty is to honour, respect, esteem, appreciate and adore her husband, to deeply love and enjoy her husband, to cast light upon dark days and to also help him fulfill God's purpose for his life. Being submissive (depending and relying strongly on his ability as a leader and head of your home). When your husband observes these qualities in you, he will in return treat you with respect and shower you with love and attention. 1Peter 3:1,2.
Praiseworthy wives: Abigail- 1 Samuel 25:3,14,15,18-34; Ruth - Ruth 1:4.
Woman man's helper: God’s original design for marriage is that the wife be a helper and companion to the man, not a competitor or a boss. Genesis 2:20-23.
Women in marriage: Wives should realise that the foundation for a lasting marriage are lots of wisdom (which you only get from God), plenty of patience and understanding, a little compromise here and there and constant prayer. Proverbs 14:1; Proverbs 24:3; make your home a haven of peace for your husband. Proverbs 25:24.

The Ideal Husband:

Advice to Husbands: A strong, capable, intelligent and true wife is hard to find. When you do find one, ensure to deal wisely with her. Seek Godly counsel, trust him to show you how to live with your wife, for it is the only way to find true and lasting happiness. Most importantly, love your wife for who she is, not her beauty or figure, for Love is the only thing that will see you through dark days. Proverbs 16:20; 1 Corinthians 13:7-8; Genesis 2:23,24.
Faithful Husbands: Isaac.- Genesis 25:21; Zachariah - Luke 1:5-7.
Husbands love your wives: Treat your wife with respect and love. Learn to connect to your wives on all levels, relate with her as a weaker vessel (physically, emotionally and spiritually) so that your prayers be not hindered. - 1st Peter 3:7-8.
Husbands should love their wives enough to die for them. - Ephesians 5: 25.
Men in marriage: Husbands should be affectionate and sympathetic to their wives, they should not be harsh or resentful towards them no matter what. Colossians 3:19. Husbands should also ensure to be faithful throughout their marriage, it actually keeps you out of trouble. Proverbs 5:15-20.

Advice to those marrying:

Finding a wife: Your finding a wife attracts God's blessings (Proverbs 18: 22), you need God's wisdom to guide you and you only get wisdom when you ask God. He instituted marriage and He alone can help you find a true wife. Proverbs 19:14.
Happiness in marriage: You can only achieve happiness in your marriage when you learn to forgive your spouse no matter the nature of the offence.When you habour resentments, it will deprive you of happiness, you'll never see anything good in what your spouse does but when you forgive, it gives room for better communication and happiness in return. Matthew 18:21,22.
