Choosing the neckline

There are so many necklines to choose from, ranging fron the off shoulder to the sweetheart. The right neckline makes your wedding dress to sit perfectly on you. Use our guide below to assist you in choosing the right neckline.

Off the shoulder
The neckline is below the shoulders and reveals the bride's collarbone and shoulders. This style is realy cool for busty brides as it removes emphasis from the chest. However if you have broad shoulder, then you should let this style pass. If your arms are chubby, you should avoid this style too. Are you uncomfortable with your shoulders being exposed? The portrait is a close alternative.

Portrait
The portrait neckline is characterized by a wide, soft scoop from the tip of one shoulder to the tip of the other. Very close to an off-the-shoulder neckline but is fuller. It a good chocie for brides with chubby arms and prominent collarbones.

Sweetheart
This neckline is a classic. The sweetheart neckline is shaped like the top half of a heart symbol. This style is great for very busty women. The sweetheart is often done with an overlay of sheer material that rises higher than the heart shape, giving the torso a longer line and also making the neck look longer.

Sabrina
This shape gently follows the curve of the collarbone, almost to the tip of the shoulders -- and goes straight across so less of the chest shows. It can come with sleeves or without sleeves. Really great for small busted women. Busty sisters should definitely stay clear of the sabrina.

Halter Neck
A scoop or V-neck that highlights your arms and shoulders and connects at the top of your neck. This neckline looks best on broad shoulders or tall brides. Narrow shoulder bride should stay from the halter neck

Scoop
This is a shallow or deep U-shaped neckline, that has become a classic. Most often the scoop will continue on the back of the dress. It is a safe choice for bride.

Jewel
This neckline is exactly like the neck of your t-shirt. The jewel neckline is round and sits at the base of the throat. Brides with small bust can use this style to look bustier. Busty sister should avoid this style except they want to look bustier.

V-neck
The neckline dips down in the front. This style has the uniqe advantage of removing emphases from the bustline like the off shoulder. A good choice for brides with B or C cups.

Strapless
The strapless neckline is a popular choice with busty brides.
